Colin Benoit
COLIN BENOIT
Colin Benoit joined Industrial Light & Magic in 2001 as a Technical Assistant and soon after moved into the layout department, where he has been ever since.

Benoit has worked as a Layout Supervisor on Poseidon and Iron Man, as part of a small, fast-paced pre-visualization team on Speed Racer, and as an Animation Sequence Lead on Star Trek, supervising camera work and animation for the space jump sequence.

Most recently, he led the layout team on Rango, ILM's first animated feature, where he's had the opportunity to work extensively with Director Gore Verbinski to help achieve a style that is incredibly unique for the animated film genre. He is currently a Layout Supervisor on Pacific Rim.

Benoit received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, where he studied robotics.

In 2007, Mark joined LAIKA (Coraline, ParaNorman), where he manages brand strategies, including the marketing efforts for LAIKA’s corporate identity as well as the company’s feature films.

A native of Seattle, Mark attended Emerson College in Boston and received his Bachelor of Arts in English from The Colorado College in Colorado Springs. He also completed education studies at Lewis & Clark College in Portland.
Ed Whetstone

Ed is a Dallas-based CG artist, educator, and would-be filmmaker. After graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas, he started working as a lighting artist at ReelFX Creative Studios and now works as a freelance artist.

He is also currently writing and directing a nights-and-weekends short film effort, "The Sum of Parts". Ed's Creative Development contributions include tutorials on: Guerrilla Commercial Design Concept in Maya, Guerrilla Compositing Tactics in Maya and NUKE, and Guerrilla Lighting and Rendering Tactics in Maya.

Chris is a senior VFX Instructor at Digital-Tutors. Along with creating and recording training, he also manages the support team and works closely with the production development team. He began his career working freelance and quickly realized that he wanted to find a company where he could use his talents to help people succeed in the CG industry.

One of Chris' favorite projects at Digital-Tutors has been his contribution to the 'Infiltrator' Production Pipeline Series: Compositing in NUKE. Chris' passion to pursue finding new and better ways to understand and use computer graphics drives him and his work.

Delano works avidly as an Animation Instructor at Digital-Tutors. Starting his career at leading studios like Shilo, Delano has developed a strong passion for his talents. His animation and rigging background help him teach and create some of Digital-tutors most-watched training.

A few of his favorite projects that he has contributed to include: Character Interaction in Maya and in Softimage, Rigging the Human Face in Maya, Rigging Sea Creatures in Maya, and Rigging and Animating Transforming Vehicles. He draws his inspiration from films and other forms of art that are filled with emotion.

JUSTIN MARSHALL
Justin thrives as a lead Modeling Instructor at Digital-Tutors. Growing up, Justin found an interest in the computer graphics industry after watching movies like Jurassic Park, Toy Story and The Abyss. His ambition would lead him to work at Sony Imageworks in Los Angeles on movies like Monster House, Barnyard and Surf's Up. Justin has also had numerous articles, tutorials and images published in 3D World and 3D Artist.

As a Digital-Tutors' instructor, Justin has really enjoyed collaborating with fellow instructors, especially on one of the most recent projects, the Unity Mobile Game Development Series.

Kyle was one of the first instructors for Digital-Tutors and has been a part of the team for over 10 years. Kyle began his career in computer graphics education as a college instructor and has worked as a Rendering Instructor and Curriculum Manager in the production team since 2002.

Being here for over 10 years, Kyle has contributed to many of Digital-Tutors most popular projects and has helped the team win awards throughout the company's history. Kyle has had the honor of having his art exhibited at the New York Hall of Science for his project Alexa, female android created in Maya.
